Description
The Toyota AE86 Trueno is a staple in many peoples minds when they think of JDM drift cars, due to its fame brought by the show Initial D. The Hachi-Roku (ハチロク) as it is called by its fans, literally meaning 86 in Japanese, is known worldwide as an excellent drift car from the late 1980’s, and with its iconic silhouette including its pop-up headlights, it is not easily mistakable for anything else. the name itself derives from the Spanish word for Thunder, with the other name for it, Levin, deriving from the Middle English word for Lightning. it has a 1.6 Litre, 4 cylinder engine that produces 128 hp as its standard engine, however the engine in the sprinter from the show was replaced after the original engine blew, replacing the original 16-valve 4A-GEU with a much more powerful TRD Group A 4A-GE 20-valve “Silver Top” racing engine which could produce upwards of 230 horsepower.
Based on the Version seen in the Hit animated show Initial D, this AE86 Trueno model contains decals and details identical to that seen on the car driven by Takumi Fujiwara in the show.
